Comment on the Iftar Tent...

Karisyaka Kordelyali Organization of Businessman. This is the 8th year of the Iftar tent in Karsiyaka, Izmir. They serve food for 3, 500 people. 1,500 of 3, 500 are served at the tent, the rest of the food aid packets are distributed to the places where old, disabled and poor people whose addresses are determined in advance. Simply can not support going to the tents. The main goal is to reach the people, who are especially disabled, poor, old or unable to work.

However, this tent welcomes not only fasting or poor people but everyone: old, young, rich, poor, donors and especially lonely ones to share their loneliness and live the peaceful Ramadan atmosphere with others… Of course there are ones who come there just for having different tests of food... Along with the varied food, there is also something that we should mention that is everything is served within the closed and hygienic boxes.

That is so great! Tell me a line or two of bio information that I can use for the report (literally I am writing as we speak...) And how you came to join this DIP group...the group is included in the report...thanks!

Yeah I saw that pic! it is very cool! There are especially iftar tents almost everywhere you go here in Turkey in order to feed people who are so poor and fasting or not fasting. so I am planing to go out and take a picture of those iftar tents as well as the other people who go to teravih worship which is a kind of practice at the mosque after they break their fasting.

Great, Zuhal...we are working on a Ramadan section of the report now. It would be great to get some information about you and your trip to Turkey as well as what you've learned. We went to Iftar dinner at ambassador culbertson's house at the hague last week...

By the way, just curious about it! Anyone may want to learn about Ramadan or interested in anything special to you guys? So, please let me know than I will extend the project through your offers or recommendations.

Hi everyone,

I am currently working on "Ramadan" project. I am in Turkey right now, and thought it would be so good if we have something about Ramadan in the light of this project Undestanding Islam. I've been trying to fix some technical problems about the video records and pics. I am hoping more will be coming up soon.
